[Quarantined] Favorites

Happy Saturday to all of you lovely people out there! It's not the lovliest Saturday to me... You see, as it turns out,
I have SHINGLES!

can you even believe this?  It's not common for people under 60 and I'm not even half that yet!  I remember when I was little and I had the chicken pox, I had so few that they warned me I could get it again.  Apparently, I'm contagious to anyone who has never had the chicken pox.  So, I'm on quarantine. For possibly TWO to THREE weeks!  Not fun. Nope nope nope.

So, while I'm confined in my apartment this weekend, I will take a virtual walk with you to visit some of my incredible sponsors who shared some heavier posts this week that really grabbed my heart and encouraged me with their incredible faith.

1. Gladness in my Sadness {Abby from Akers of Love}
Abby is one of those bloggers who inspires me every time I visit her blog. I seriously could not be more happy to have her as a Featured Advertiser.  Her son, whom they adopted, gives me hope in the adoption process.  It can seem so overwhelming -- and rightly so.  Read along as Abby shares disappointments in their new adoption endeavor and how she finds hope through it all.

2. The Moment I Realized {Brooke at Covered in Grace}
Who doesn't melt over a good love story?  Brooke shares with us how she knew he was "The One" in a way that makes you feel like you were right there with her, feeling the same breeze, enjoying the same view, being warmed by the same bright sun.  This is one you don't want to miss.

3. Update {Katie at For Lauren and Lauren}
It's difficult to share our hearts, hurts, and disappointments.  This week, Katie opens herself up to her readers in the midst of pain and anger as well her thankfulness to a God who allows us to express ourselves - our feelings - to Him freely.  He is so good to us.

And while you're here, why not check out my instagram photos from the last two weeks I spent in Florida!

Obviously, we had a good time :) Even if it did end in a gross contagious disease.

Oh man, shingles are horrible. My little sister had them when she was 11. On her face! And she hadn't even had chicken pox yet, at least to our knowledge. The doctors said that she must have at some point contracted such a mild case of chicken pox that we never noticed. What? It was so sad to see her go through that but she was brave...and if a kid can live through it so can you! But still, I feel for you. Being sick isn't fun and neither is being cooped up at home!

Oh no, that's horrible! I got the vaccine a long time ago, for the Pox, but I still hope there's no way to get Shingles later on! Hope you feel better soon girl!

Aww, feel better! I've come down with a bizarre illness as well in the past week, so I feel your pain! Praying you heal up soon and find lots of interesting things to occupy your time while on *gulp* quarantine! :)
