When I was a kid, we took in an abandoned Racoon cub. Eventually, his claws were so sharp that we would have had to declaw him to keep him, and my parents decided that would be wrong and released him. I think that "Racoon" is a Cherokee word that means "human eyes."

There use to be a women in the town were I worked in the UK that use to walk her pet raccoon down the street. Everyone use to stop and stare!
