Talking to and listening to God through song is one of my very favorite things. I love that music has been used to worship God since the earliest days in Scripture.
It's all over the book of Psalms.
Singing to the Lord is a beautiful way to express your heart to Him. And singing alongside other believers is a glimpse of what life will be like when we are one day in his physical presence.
I can't wait.
I especially love this song "You are for me" by Kari Jobe because of the message behind it:
In times when we allow Satan to tell us we aren't good enough, we aren't equipped enough, we are alone, or we'll never get it right -- we can claim the truth in the face of the lie and sing, "I know that you are for me. I know that you will never forsake me in my weaknesses."
I know that he is for me.
