Some of you may wonder why my blog is titled
The Williams' Post: life on a mission
Since the 3rd grade, all I ever wanted to be was a missionary.
Over time, and after a few mission trips, I came to the realization through Scripture that we are all missionaries.
Jesus commands his followers in Matthew 28:19
"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
and in Acts 1:8
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere -- in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
I've often asked God, "What is Your will for my life?"
Well, the answer may not be as complicated as the one I was looking for
- the twenty year plan -
but may be as simple as a single command.
- the twenty year plan -
but may be as simple as a single command.
So, whether I'm in Mexico, India, Africa, or Alabama -- I'm a missionary.
I want to turn away from the American Dream,
live radically for Jesus Christ, and be a servant - just like Him.

Wow. This is awesome. Not many people feel called to be missionaries, and I think it's awesome you've known for such a long time! I also like what you said about being a missionary wherever you are. Sometimes I forget that I don't have to be in Africa to be telling people about my faith and my Savior.
you have NO IDEA how MUCH I love this!!! :P <3
I just love your heart. So so much. You are such an inspiration!!
i just adore this post. and it is so very true. we can be missionaries everywhere just by doing random acts of charity. charity is only done through the love of Christ!
